I absolutely love to help people find fun things to do with their kids and grandkids. I don't recommend this and is probably a waste of time. Never saw that before. Of course, it turned out that the weather IN PHOENIX was clear, but north of Phoenix it was pretty drizzly all day, and in fact the clouds were covering the hilltops all day long. About a mile or so west of the junction with 37, the hills on the side of the road look very strange. The trailhead for Table Mesa Road West is on the northwest corner of Exit 236. Just past the washing away spot near Robbers Roost we spotted some old foundation walls. Pretty view at the end, though. The idiots with the guns need to stay where they are supposed to stay but they have decided to spread out and shoot wherever. LOL! Never enter flooded desert washes. There is a fee kiosk at the trailhead and the cost is $7 per vehicle. Maybe we should let them have this trail so they don't kill the good trails. Seasonal. Watch the left side of trail for soft shoulder from rain run off It was actually a small adventure to even find water in the beginning. The water was a little chilly in mid-April but the kids quickly adjusted.
